Giti

Giti is one of three results that were created as part of a collaboration with the Berlin artist Maryam Kehani. Giti not only bears a Persian woman's name meaning world, universe, but also dresses in high-quality woollen fabrics in curated colours that harmonise perfectly in the overall interplay of the three art objects. Maryam was keen to play with illusion in her designs - is there a hat on the sofa? Or is it a cushion? It is a hat cushion that provides soft yet stable support and comfort. The strictly limited artist's edition of these expressive and unusual cushions is available from Mariam Keyhani's webshop.
The cushion designed by artist Maryam Keyhani with the Persian female name ‘Giti’ (meaning: world, universe) is a real camouflage artist, or rather a female camouflage artist. At first glance - and perhaps even at second glance - it looks like an elegant sun hat. But it can't be pulled onto the head. The cushion filled with foam sticks and beaded wadding is very soft and yet so stable that it is ideal for leaning against and as a backrest. It is also a real eye-catcher in any living room.
Maryam Keyhani has selected an optional strawberry red or dark petrol-coloured virgin wool fabric as well as an equally tactile fabric in restrained beige, which is made from recycled wool and recycled polyamide. All the cushion shapes and colours in the Freifrau x Maryam Keyhani collaboration go together perfectly.
